Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara? The Great Rift Valley’s foothills in Tanzania’s rainforest are home to Lake Manyara National Park. Along with predators, the park now hosts enormous colonies of pink flamingos, whose sheer quantity astounds even seasoned tourists. The dense pink spot along the shore that is reflected in the water appears to multiply their already enormous population many times over.

The park is home to more than 400 different species of birds, some of which are unique to Tanzania’s Manyara Park. This little park is home to pelicans, storks, ibises, cranes, cormorants, and marabous. Ancient bird families like the hornbill family are numerous. You will undoubtedly encounter zebras, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, lions, and many other members of the African fauna, just as you would in Tanzania’s other well-known parks.

The famous Serengeti National Park is the only region of Africa where significant land-animal migrations still occur.
The magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, the biggest dormant volcanic caldera in the world, is the area’s most notable feature.
Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira are the three volcanic cones found there. It is both the highest free-standing peak in the world and the tallest in Africa.
